WHAT IS EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE?

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), often referred to as "tapping," is an alternative therapeutic method that combines elements of cognitive therapy and exposure therapy with physical stimulation of acupuncture points.

 

By tapping on specific meridian points on the body—primarily on the face and upper body—while focusing on a particular issue, emotion, or memory, individuals aim to reduce psychological stress and emotional distress.

EFT is based on the premise that negative emotions are caused by disruptions in the body’s energy system. The technique seeks to restore balance to this system, promoting emotional healing and well-being. It is commonly used to address issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, phobias, chronic pain, and limiting beliefs.

While some scientific studies have shown promising results, EFT is considered a complementary therapy. Its simplicity, ease of use, and non-invasive nature have contributed to its growing popularity worldwide.
