"Trauma is a fact of life, but it does not have to be a life sentence,"
Relationships can be deeply affected by trauma — whether it stems from childhood experiences, betrayal, loss, medical crises, accidents, or other overwhelming events. Trauma can create distance, conflict, mistrust, emotional shutdown, or painful cycles that leave both partners feeling alone. I offer a safe, structured, and compassionate space where couples can begin to heal — individually and together.
My work supports couples who are navigating:
-
The impact of childhood trauma on adult relationships
-
Infidelity and betrayal trauma
-
Emotional disconnection and recurring conflict
-
Intimacy difficulties following trauma
-
PTSD and complex trauma within one or both partners
-
Life transitions or crises that have shaken the relationship
-
Bereavement & Infant Loss
-
Navigating IVF Treatment
Trauma doesn’t just live in the past — it often shows up in the present through heightened reactions, withdrawal, defensiveness, or fear of closeness. Together, we gently explore these patterns, helping you understand what is happening beneath the surface. Rather than focusing on blame, we work toward safety, emotional regulation, and rebuilding trust.
My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and collaborative.
I help couples:
-
Develop emotional safety and stability
-
Understand trauma responses and attachment patterns
-
Improve communication without escalation
-
Repair ruptures and rebuild trust
-
Strengthen emotional and physical intimacy
-
Create new patterns of connection and resilience
Healing from trauma as a couple requires patience, courage, and care. I move at a pace that feels safe for both partners, ensuring that neither feels overwhelmed or unheard. Where appropriate, we may also integrate individual sessions to support deeper processing.
If trauma has created distance between you, therapy can help you rediscover understanding, closeness, and hope.
You do not have to navigate this alone.
